Pastor Jeffrey VanOsdol
Pastor Jeffrey VanOsdol was born July 30, 1964, in Seymour, Indiana. He grew up in Bloomington, Indiana and was confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in 1978. In 1986 he graduated from Indiana University.
In 1992, Pastor VanOsdol graduated with a Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. From 1992-1994, he served as Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Akron, Ohio; 1994-1998, he served as Assistant Pastor of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Cupertino, California.
In his several parishes, Pastor VanOsdol has served as Pastoral Advisor to the LWML Zone; as a member of a District Worship Committee; and as Secretary-Treasurer, Program Chairman, and Circuit Counselor for the Circuit Pastoral Conference.
From 1998-2008, Pastor VanOsdol served Immanuel, Simpsonville. After a sabbatical, he began serving Greenwood Lutheran Church in Greenwood, South Carolina in 2010. In October 2011, he was Called to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Charleston, South Carolina, to serve as their Interim Pastor. He concluded that service in March 2013, and returned to serving Greenwood Lutheran Church.
In August, 2013 Pastor VanOsdol returned to Immanuel to serve as Vacancy Pastor. On February 22, 2015 he was again called to serve Immanuel as Pastor. He also serves as Mentor in the Specific Ministry Pastor program for student-pastor Jon Richter and Greenwood Lutheran Church. He is also the Assistant Circuit Counselor for Circuit 18 of the Southeastern District of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod He also serves as the Assistant Varsity Cross Country Coach at Brashier Middle College Charter High School.
