OUR ADULT & OTHER MINISTRY PROGRAMS
Men’s Ministry Breakfast The men of the congregation meet
monthly on the 1st Saturday of the month for Bible Study and
Breakfast…join us as we feed our bodies and our souls! The men’s group also works on different
service projects throughout the year with an occasional outing too!
Fix-It Uppers This is a group of volunteers that
meets about twice a month on Wednesday morning to work on different projects
around the church and school…from painting, to fix-it projects and
outdoor gardening. Would you like
to help? Come and join us!
Women of Immanuel All women of
the church are members of LWML (Lutheran
Women’s Missionary League) and Women of Immanuel. An open invitation is extended. It is our sincere hope that all of you
will join us on the 2nd Thursday of each month except for June, July
and 
August…6:30 PM –
Refreshments 7:00 PM –
Meeting. Each month is a different
topic, craft or outing with a devotion time. Through the many activities we host and
missions we support our major fundraiser for our women’s group is our
Harvest Festival, held in October.
Grey Heirs Join our Senior Adult
Ministry group as they enjoy getting together on the 3rd Thursday of
the month for a potluck noon meal, devotions, variety of activities and
more! This group also enjoys the
occasional outings to different community events.
Braille Ministry The
Braille Center is opening in August,2009. We would like to extend an invitation to
anyone who would like to help, training will be provided. Work will take place on Mondays, from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. You may also choose to work a half day,
either in the morning of afternoon.
Monetary donations will be needed, as we have to fund the supplies which
will be $1500 per year. If you
would like to contribute mark you check “Braille Center” and submit
it to the church.
Immanuel Fellowship
Group This is a fellowship time
for the whole family! We meet on
the 2nd or 3rd Friday of each month (excluding summer) at
6:30 pm, (latecomers welcome!!!) at a member’s home. If you would be interested in hosting a
month, contact the church office.
Remember to just dress casual & comfortable…all are welcome
(Bring your kids too!) for food, fellowship, devotions and fun!
Health Ministry “Serving God by Caring for the physical, emotional and spiritual
needs of the congregation.” Matthew 10:7-8
This is a
team of members who understand the healing mission of our faith community,
accept the wholistic (mind, body, spirit) concept of
care, and promote wellness and prevention of illness within our community. We offer blood pressure screening (every
3rd Sunday), monthly newsletters, education programs, CPR courses,
blood drives, flu shots, and visitations/advice/support.
Social Ministry We
are active in supporting different organization in our community like Project Hope with hygiene supplies,
canned food for God’s Pantry,
families in need with food baskets, building homes for families through Thrivent Builds, supplies for our
military, and much more. We support
the Ronald McDonald Home with meals
for families, participate in Meals on
Wheels on Tuesdays, and serve meals at Project
Host Soup Kitchen.
Quilters Do you enjoy getting
together with others? Come and
check out our Quilters on Tuesdays, 10:00am-2:00pm…no sewing skills required! They make lap quilts for Lutheran
Hospice and full quilts for Lutheran World Relief. It is an enjoyable way to help others in
need!
